When we talk about scales, we are talking about a complexity of sounds and note combinations... This can be the most complex part when choosing an instrument. However, there are scales that vibrate more with us, with our energy, and by listening to the different scales we can find the one we like the most.

So there are major scales (more joyful), minor scales (more introspective). Pentatonic scales (composed of 5 notes, repeating notes in different octaves. They are more harmonic scales), hexatonic (composed of 6 notes, repeating notes in different octaves. They are scales in which the 6th note defines the tonality) and heptonic or diatonic (composed of 7 notes, repeating notes in different octaves. They are more complete and versatile scales, allowing more possibilities for composition and improvisation). Scales for beginners (where the interval between notes is smaller, these will be the most intuitive instruments), level intermediary and advanced (here the intervals between notes are longer, including between the ding and the other notes).

There are also 12-note chromatic scales which are the complete scales that include the #'s(these are the most complex scales to play).
